Indian weddings are the best

IMG_1471.jpeg The above are photos from my friends wedding near Delhi. This wedding was by far the greatest wedding ever. My friend entered into the venue in a carriage but we needed to slow down the carriage from arriving for some reason so there was a band playing instruments and a ton of people outside the venue dancing and partying.

People were also inside the venue chatting and eating snacks. We were outside dancing for almost 90 minutes. I was joking with Kana that we spent more time outside than the full length of a typical Japanese wedding (this is an exaggeration).

We eventually made it inside, maybe at around 8 or 9 pm, and we were starving. We couldn't see anything beyond small eats so we were gorging ourselves on them only to later find out there was a whole other room with a buffet that we missed. We went in there and I think some of the staff were so surprised to see foreigners that they wouldn't stop giving us food. It was both painful and hilarious.

The auspicious time tog et married was around 2 or 3 AM so most folks ended the day at midnight but Geoff, Vu, and I stayed up until Joyce and Himanshu finally left.

Best. Wedding. Ever
