I came to Chennai prior to Himanshu’s wedding to hang out with my dad. We did mostly nothing the whole week we were together but I really enjoyed that. I don’t see dad in person enough since flying to Toronto is exhausting and expensive. I told him I had to come to India for a wedding so he said he would join me in the south. He spent a week in London before coming to Chennai.
We genuinely did nothing and it was great. We would go to the buffet for breakfast, go back upstairs to the room and watch tv, go out for lunch, do a tiny bit of shopping, go back to the hotel to rest, go out for dinner, then go to bed.
It was nice to just be in his company. Hearing random stories. Talking about nothing in particular
A few aunts and uncles were in Chennai at the same time so I got to see them as well which was nice.
In the photo is my dad, Iyappun, and I. Iyappun is the driver mum and dad use every time they visit Chennai. They love him a lot and he is incredibly helpful. Dad will send him stuff to hold onto which I find ridiculous.
